Hey my lovelies, today's review is of Like Candy by the lovely Debra Doxer. I received this novel thanks to netgalley, Debra Doxer and it's publishers for an honest review. I really enjoyed this book, a lot more than what I was expecting. Which is why I rated it a full five stars on Goodreads.

Like Candy is a book about a young girl called Candy, who after her eighteenth birthday decides to move back in with her Dad, after causing a lot of trouble with her cheating ex, where she used to live. After seeing Miss Popularity's slight obsession with jock Jonah, she soon starts hanging out with and maybe everything isn't as black and white as she would prefer it to be. Especially when her fathers job comes into play.
I was actually quite surprised with how much I enjoyed this book, even though some parts were unrealistic, the writing was perfect for me.
The unrealistic parts for me were about Candy's fathers 'job'. Nothing he did made sense, if you were an assassin or someone in that job area, why would you break into someones house and get caught by a teenage girl. I just don't get it.
Sadly, the ending is a cliffhanger, which leaves you very excited for the sequel.
